Die Kunststiftung Zürichsee hat sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, einen Beitrag zur Erhaltung regionalen Kunstschaffens zu leisten. Die Sammlung von bildender Kunst aus der Region Zimmerberg, Horgen und rund um den Zürichsee umfasst bislang Werke von annähernd 150 Kunstschaffenden.
